Red Flag Warning issued for critical fire weather conditions from 10 AM through 9 PM Saturday across most of South-Central Texas with

the forecast combination of gusty north winds and low humidity


  • Breezy north winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph from late Saturday morning through Saturday evening
  • Minimum relative humidity values as low as 10%
  • Dry fuels


Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions re-develop on Sunday afternoon; especially along and east of the I-35 corridor


  • Low humidity but lighter winds forecast compared to Saturday
  • Any fires that develop could be difficult to control and spread rapidly.
  • Avoid any outdoor activities that could inadvertently cause wildfires
