24-Hour Shifts for Career Staff Began October 1ST

The Sunrise Beach Fire Department is a “Hybrid” department blending the long-established volunteers with the SBFD career staff of credentialed Firefighter – EMTs. Beginning October 1st, 2025, the schedule for the career staff of Firefighter – EMTs was changed from 12-hour to 24-hour coverage. The goal is to enhance the Department’s response to calls.
